Week 2 Rankings
We’re on to Poll number two for the 2025 season. NEWLL teams finally saw some action this week after all games being wiped out due to weather last week. Many teams across the WCLO had their season openers this past weekend really shaking up this weeks rankings. New to this week's poll include reigning National Runner-Ups #8 Fairfield who got their first wins of the season over NYU and Albany on Sunday. Also joining the rankings tied at #9 is the University of Vermont who picked up their first win against St. Anselm and #11 West Virginia who picked up 3 big wins on the road this weekend over Duquesne, Bowling Green, and Buffalo.
In a turn of events, #11 George Washington moves up two spots after they upset the United States Naval Academy just one week after the Midshipmen defeated Loyola-Maryland dropping them to #2 and pushing the Hounds back into 1st. George Washington was then upset by Towson immediately following their win over Navy. St. Joseph stays locked in at #3 after beating TCNJ 11-4 on Sunday. The University of St. Thomas and Wake Forest Round out the Top 5 both having weeks off this past week.
The biggest drops of the week include Salisbury who dropped 8 spots to #18 after losing 1-9 against #T13 American. Towson also drops 4 spots to #15 after losing to both Salisbury and Navy. Leaving the Top 20 this week are Xavier, William & Mary, Mankato, Mount Vernon, Mankato, and Carleton. Check out the full Week 2 Top 20 below as well as look ahead to this coming weekends matchups.
