The WCLO is excited to see 13 games this weekend! With 9 games from the MAWLL, 2 games from the NEWLL, and one game each from the WCLL and NCWLL.
The US Naval Academy will host Georgetown at 7pm EST tonight. Georgetown is coming into tonight’s game with a 1-0 record edging American University last week in an exciting 9-8 victory. The US Naval Academy looks to pick up where they left off last year, finishing the season 6-3 falling short to National Champions, Loyola University, at the MAWLL Championship.
The Greyhounds open their season this Sunday with games against American and UMBC. The Hounds look to lock in their 4th consecutive National Championship this season. Last year Loyola finished the season 14-1 with their only loss coming from Penn State University during the regular season.

On Saturday, two newcomers to the WCLL, Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and Kent State University will face off. Both teams have competed independently over the past few seasons, but are looking to make a strong entrance into the league.
MVNU Junior, Bekah Kalas, shares her thoughts on joining the WCLO, “Being a part of the WCLO gives us a greater incentive and holds more weight to succeed at a high level of competition. It creates a community of lacrosse players that respect their competitors because we are all working towards the same goal.”

Binghamton University also looks to pick up where they left off last year, hosting Ithaca in a regional game inside the NEWLL. Dartmouth and Maine will also see regional action this weekend. Other teams seeing action this weekend include Wake Forest, Iowa State, Coastal Carolina, Wilmington, and Elon.
