2026 Week 2 Rankings - Presented by Chill Medicated
We’re on to Week 2 of Rankings for the 2026 Season! An exciting weekend led to some shuffling of the Top 10 while also adding quite a few new teams to the Top 20 for the first time this season. Vermont holds steady at #1 after an exciting rematch against New Hampshire. The Catamounts and Wildcats braved some harsh weather with UVM coming out on top 7-3. Loyola- Maryland squeezes into second for this week sitting at 4-0 on the season with wins over #15 Towson, Johns Hopkins, and Morgan State. Loyola along with many other teams in our Top 20 do not see action again until after spring break. They will take on heavy hitters in Navy, St. Joseph, and Richmond upon their return. Now holding the #3 spot, New Hampshire looks to rebound after the loss to Vermont. The Wildcats will face Tufts and Bates this Sunday looking to pick up two more wins. Fairfield University holds steady at #4 this week after picking up wins over #16 WPI and #18 Marist. Rounding out the Top 5 is University of Minnesota. The Gophers will face off against Carleton this Thursday.
With many teams seeing their first games this past weekend, we have a record of seven teams joining the Top 20 this week. For the first time this season #11 Binghamton, #12 US Naval Academy, #13 NYU, #16 WPI, #17 Richmond, #18 Marist, and #19 St. Joseph join the ranks. The Bearcats of Binghamton ended their 2025 campaign in the National Semi-finals with a heartbreaking two point loss to New Hampshire. After their first weekend of play was wiped out due to a snow storm in the Northeast, they pick up a close win over # Cornell and Cortland. Binghamton will see Central Connecticut and Brown this Sunday at Central Connecticut.
Also rejoining the Top 20 this week after a successful 2025 season is New York University. The Violets experienced their first trip to the WCLO National Tournament in Round Rock in 2025 and are hungrier than ever to make a return this season to Richmond. NYU also saw game cancellations in their first weeks along with many other New England teams, but managed to pick up their first large home win of the season against Central Connecticut University. They look to continue their win streak while traveling to Marist this Sunday to play Marist and WCLA D1 Rutgers in a round robin.
